In addition an exhibit of the 999 Empire State Express steam locomotive which is considered as the first vehicle ever to exceed 100 mph is also shown. Another exhibit which will cause you to remember the WW II are the display of warplanes a Ju 87 R-2/Trop, Stuka divebomber and a Supermarine Spitfire donated by the British government. There are also several U.S. Navy warship models on display and a flight simulator for the new F-35 Lightning II. On the other hand a huge model of a human heart which is big enough to walk through and see and discover how the inside and outside of it is also displayed. Other fascinating exhibits are the Apollo 8 spacecraft which took Frank Borman, James Lovell and William Anders on the first lunar orbital mission; Scott Carpenter's Mercury Atlas 7 spacecraft, a lunar Module trainer and a life-size mock up of a space shuttle.
